A quick clarification about Championships for our youngest swimmers. 

• SSA has confirmed that catchers will not be allowed in the water at Champs.
  •  unless there are extenuating circumstances (special needs)
  • and it's coordinated ahead of time
    
• I was also reminded that the 42‑foot event is not offered at Championships, which means our 6 & unders only have the option to swim the 25s.

Because catchers are NOT ALLOWED at Champs

• please take a moment to consider whether your young swimmer is truly comfortable completing a 25 without assistance. 
• If they are not, they should not be entered in 10 & Under Championships. 
• This meet is very long, and as a league we’re all working together to keep the evening running smoothly and respectfully for families.

I know this may be disappointing for some of our little ones who are still gaining confidence, and for the parents cheering them on. Please know the League is simply trying to make the best decisions for the swimmers’ safety, comfort, and the overall flow of the meet.
