Angela is returning for her 10th season as Head Coach at PHSC. She has a Master's Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Sports Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies from the University of Evansville where she was also a member and 2-year Captain of the Women's Division 1 Swim Team. Angela started swimming as a 6 & under with summer teams, then started year-round swimming at 10 years old in KY. She swam 4 years of high school for Anderson HS in Cincinnati and for M.E. Lyons/Anderson Barracudas YMCA team, who were 8-time National Champions over 4 years (both Spring and Summer teams from 1994-1998).
Angela worked for a local non-for-profit for 18+ years in aquatic programming/safety and members-services before starting her own safety training business (CPR, First Aid & Babysitter Safety) in 2020. Angela was raised in an Army family from Texas, moving many times, landing in OH for high school.
She has lived in Springboro since 2010 with her husband, three kiddos, and two dogs. Angela also has a twin sister who coaches in Lebanon, OH. In addition to coaching at PHSC, she coaches for Coffman YMCA in the winter and she is a Lead Preschool Teacher.
I coach the 7 and 8 year old group here at Pleasant Hill. This will be my 5th year as an assistant coach and 3rd year with the 7 and 8s. I have been swimming at PHSC since I was 3 years old so this will be my 15th season swimming on the team. Along with that I swam club for around 6 years. I have also helped junior coach in the years before I started coaching. Along with swimming the last three years at Fairmont High School I’ve participated in their basketball and volleyball programs and I hope to continue with basketball through my last year at the high school. I love the aspect of a team because of the family type bond you make with the people around you. I am so excited to get to foster this kind of relationship throughout this season. But I believe the most important part of this season is to try hard and have TONS of fun!!
Joseph Bright has been a 'Fighting Fish' since 2014. He is a three year member of the Centerville High School's swim team and swam with the 'Sharks' for one year. Joseph loves to compete with his breaststroke. Joseph has been a lifeguard at Pleasant Hill and Centerville Township Rec Center for two years. This is Joseph's third year coaching at Pleasant Hill where he loves to inspire beginning swimmers. In his free time, Joseph loves playing the bass and piano, pickleball, running, biking, working out, Star War's movies and playing games with his siblings.Coach Peter
This will be my first summer coaching for Pleasant Hill! PHSC has been my second home since I was 8 years old, and I have also been a junior coach for the past three years. I swam competitively at the club level for four years and just finished my first season with the Centerville High School swim team. I’m also involved in many clubs at CHS. I believe the best part of being on this team is bond you make with the people around you. I enjoy sharing my love for the sport with the kids and helping them improve their skills in the water. I’m so excited for a season of hard work, fast times, and most importantly having fun making life long memories and friends!
Lucas Bright has been a 'Fighting Fish' since 2015. He just finished his first year on the Centerville High School's swim team and will be lifeguarding for the Kettering Rec acquatic center this Summer. Lucas enjoys working with kids and has been an assistant coach for 2 years. This will be his first year coaching at Pleasant Hill. When not swimming, Lucas enjoys playing the bass and piano, singing, running cross country and track, scouting, and hanging out with his brothers. Lucas often loses his voice by cheering loudly for his teammates.
This will be my first summer coaching at Pleasant Hill! I have been a junior coach for the past 3 years, but I’ve been swimming at Pleasant Hill since I was 4 years old. Spending my summers at Pleasant Hill is one of the highlights of my year, and I cannot wait to coach and share my love for this team with the kids! I swam competitively for 2 years, and at Centerville High School, I am involved with the Centerville Jazz Band, Winter guard, and Girl Scouts. I am so excited for an amazing summer to come!
Hi I’m Sophia, I’m 15 and am going into my sophomore year at CHS. This will be my first year as an official assistant coach at Pleasant Hill. Last summer I was one of the junior coaches and can’t wait to coach again this summer. I’ve been swimming at Pleasant hill since 2024, but before that I swam at Dunsinane for 6 years, and for the past 4 years I’ve swam year-round with the WTRC Sharks. This past winter I swam for the CHS varsity swim team and have been competing with the Sharks. Outside of swimming I enjoy camping, being outside, and reading. I am excited to coach this summer and get to give the same amazing experiences I’ve had with my coaches to the Pleasant hill team!
